MIDWIFERY CARE & HOMEBIRTH

PRICING & PACKAGES

In the Hispanic culture, as well as others around the world, a cuarentena is a 40 day period (or 6 weeks) where family members provide food, cleaning, and childcare to lighten the load so bonding time with baby and rest are the main priorities of any new or seasoned parent after the birth. Postpartum support is not a luxury. It is a necessity. A crucial time of integration, healing, and renewal.

Designed with traditional healing and community in mind, the Cuarentena Package is a multifaceted approach to physical and emotional restoration. Freshly prepared nourishing food, supplements, and self-care are the key to an optimal postpartum recovery.

*Not included in package fees: labs, diagnostic testing or ultrasounds, personal birth supplies or birth kit, placenta services, ancillary fees incurred due to collaborative care, consultations, or hospital transfers.

Contact with a 3rd party billing service will be provided to coordinate insurance reimbursement for those who qualify.

A LA CARTE

PLACENTA SERVICES:

  • Encapsulation $200
  • Tincture $40
  • Salve $25
  • Bundle $265

The raw dehydration method is used to prepare the placenta for encapsulation. Number of capsules varies per size of placenta.

A placenta tincture begins with steeping a piece of raw placenta for 6 weeks in 100% grain alcohol for maximum therapeutic extraction.  It is then strained, bottled, and ready for use.

Placenta salve, made with dehydrated placenta, herbs, moisturizing oils, beeswax, and essential oils, is a healing balm used for cracked nipples, diaper rash, c-section scars, hemorrhoids, and more.

Benefits of placenta consumption include but are not limited to: mood stabilization, promoting lactation and milk supply, increasing energy and iron levels, supporting immune system; can be used during menopause as a hormone replacement.

BELLY BINDING:

$175, includes natural cotton muslin faja

Applied within the first week postpartum, this process of wrapping fabric around the torso offers support to the organs, joints, and bones as they settle back into place and sealing in the energy released from giving birth. It is worn for 10-12 hours daily for 6-8 weeks.

Benefits to using a faja include assisting closure of the diastasis recti muscles, stabilizing relaxed ligaments, lower backache and strain prevention, and supporting the body’s natural spine and posture realignment. Clients who have had a cesarean delivery should wait at least 6 weeks postpartum to ensure healing of the incision prior to binding.

POSTPARTUM MEAL SERVICE:

$250 per week, plus groceries

Meal prep can feel like a burden when you are bonding with your new addition. A brief consultation will be performed towards the end of your pregnancy regarding preferences, allergies/ aversions, menu planning, and duration of service. My culinary experience began at 8 years old, never worked in a restaurant or attended culinary school. I’m proud to be self taught. My repertoire is quite diverse as I’m a big fan of ethnic and regional cuisines, but I also enjoy plant based meals which have allowed me to stretch my skills in the kitchen. The postpartum meal service consists of 3 family meals a week and is available during the first 6 weeks of your 4th trimester. Let’s get together and figure out the best way to get your family fed!
